In Traditional Chinese medicine and a French doctor in the last century, auricular acupuncture points are used to access and treat various body parts, illness and emotions. The ear is said to be a microcosm of the entire body in a totality. Please note – a small deposit is normally non refundable should you cancel – but I do allow people to move ceremony one time. As we soaked in a euphoric state, relishing the peace and tranquillity that came with it was a totally new experience. The frog entered so softly and gently, a real night and day difference to the ‘bungee jump’ I was used to. This felt genuinely pleasant, something I’d never been able to say about Kambo before. It became a blissful experience and it felt like this was how the frog intended it to be.
She told me to look up a practitioner named Peter Gorman who was a true pioneer in the Kambo scene. He had spent a lot of time living with the Matses tribe in Peru and had brought Kambo to the West in the 80’s. Intrigued, I read his book “Sapo in my Soul” and I was shocked to discover that there was another method to apply Kambo. What I have just described to you is the traditional Brazilian Kambo method. Then in 2016, a 22-year-old man in Florida died during a joint ayahuasca and kambo ceremony at an event run by the controversial Soul Quest church. After the ayahuasca ceremony, the man was given a kambo dose, and organizers did not notice that he was in distress until it was too late. He died from a fatal imbalance in sodium levels, a known risk of kambo. Additionally, yoga and kambo can be used to facilitate spiritual growth and self-discovery.
